WITH results of five PKR divisions yet to be confirmed, Azmin Ali appears to have topped his rival Rafizi Ramli in the race for the party’s deputy president post with a more than 5,000-vote majority.
In addition to the Julau division in Sarawak, which suspended its polls pending police investigations into allegations of hacking in its e-voting system, four divisions in Malacca – Bukit Katil, Kota Melaka, Masjid Tanah and Jasin – had yet to announce its results in the party’s national polls set to end tonight.
Azmin, however, assumed victory by taking to Twitter this evening to thank his supporters.
“Thank you to all KEADILAN members who together voted for a mandate to pursue a genuine reform agenda,” the deputy president wrote.
Alhamdulillah dan syukur. Terima kasih kepada semua anggota KEADILAN yang bersama membingkai muafakat untuk meneruskan agenda reformasi tulen.
