PERDANA Menteri Anwar Ibrahim mahu penjawat awam tidak berlengah-lengah dalam melaksanakan reformasi dalam perkhidmatan awam.
Bercakap pada perhimpunan bulanan Jabatan Perdana Menteri di Putrajaya pagi ini, Anwar berkata masih terdapat ruang untuk penambahbaikan, dan menunjukkan beberapa bidang di mana reformasi belum mencapai tahap yang memuaskan.
Ini termasuk kecuaian dan kelesuan di kalangan pegawai, dan mengenai standard penyampaian perkhidmatan.
Beliau juga berkata penambahbaikan perlu dilakukan terhadap penggabungan beberapa jabatan dan agensi serta pertindihan jawatan dalam kalangan pegawai.
“Pentadbiran yang saya terajui menuntut tadbir urus yang baik, ekonomi yang kukuh dan kesejahteraan rakyat. Ini mesti disampaikan,” katanya.
Anwar berkata, kepantasan dan kecekapan dalam penyampaian perkhidmatan juga perlu dipertingkatkan dan mengikut permintaan orang ramai.
“Seberapa pantas kami menjawab pertanyaan awam dan surat-menyurat adalah penting. Kita mesti sentiasa mencari jalan supaya kita memberi perkhidmatan yang memuaskan kepada rakyat,” tambahnya, lapor The Star Online.
Beliau juga berkata bahawa beliau akan berbincang dengan Ketua Setiausaha Negara dan Ketua Pengarah Perkhidmatan Awam mengenai langkah untuk meningkatkan prestasi.
“Banyak yang perlu kami lakukan terutama dalam meningkatkan prestasi. Sebab itu penting semua penjawat awam memberi kerjasama kepada KSN (ketua setiausaha kerajaan) yang baharu,” katanya.
Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar dilantik sebagai ketua setiausaha baharu pada 7 Ogos, menggantikan Mohd Zuki Ali, yang bersara pada 10 Ogos. – 2 September, 2024.
