A BATU PKR Youth delegate told his PAS counterparts to bring it on if they want to create three-cornered fights with his party during the next general election.

Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said PKR was undaunted with the prospect of contesting against both PAS and BN to defend the Batu parliamentary seat currently held by party vice-president Chua Tian Chang, also known as Tian Chua.

Ahmad Azri said PAS would likely lose its election deposit if it went through with plans to contest against both PKR and BN in Batu – just like PAS did when it contested in Batu in the 90s.

“We have been patient. We have tried to preserve our relationship. But what have we got in return? They now want to take our seats. Batu also they want,” said Ahmad Azmi during the PKR Youth Congress today.

“If they want Batu, just ‘bring it on’,” Ahmad Azri said to loud cheers from the audience in Shah Alam today.

After it cut ties with PKR, PAS announced that it will contest in 100 parliamentary seats across the country against both its former allies in the Pakatan Haparan coalition and BN.

In Kuala Lumpur, PAS said it will likely contest in at least four constituencies that have traditionally been contested by PKR – Batu, Lembah Pantai, Setiawangsa and Wangsa Maju. – May 20, 2017.
