THE Registrar of Societies (RoS) has rejected the application of Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman’s party Muda, said party sources.

The RoS informed the party late yesterday, they said.

Muda is expected to issue an official statement later today.

Last month Muda’s leaders handed a legal letter to the RoS to demand it expedite the party’s registration as a political party.

Muda started its registration process on September 17 but has yet to receive any update from the RoS.

Muda is not the only party rejected by the RoS.

It has been reported that Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s party Pejuang has also had its application rejected yesterday.

The official reasons for the rejection remain unknown. – January 7, 2021.
