VOTERS in the Slim state seat will have the opportunity to “rectify the mistake” of choosing Pakatan Harapan as the government in the 14th general election, said the Kelantan PAS secretary.

Che Abdullah Mat Nawi said a landslide win by Barisan Nasional in the August 29 by-election will convey clearly the message that the people no longer support PH.

“It will send a clear message to political leaders, especially the opposition, who still feel they have the people’s support,” he told reporters after attending a farmers’ programme in Kg Changkat Sulaiman, Tg Malim, today.

Che Abdullah, who is also deputy agriculture and food industry minister, urged voters to take into consideration the strength of the party represented by a candidate, as this will determine whether the candidate’s aspirations can be realised.

The Slim vote is a three-cornered contest between BN’s Mohd Zaidi Aziz, 43, and independents S. Santhasekaran, 44, and Amir Khusyairi Mohamad Tanusi, 38.
