THE 12th Malaysia-Indonesia Annual Leaders’ Consultation began in Kuching today, with Prime Minister Najib Razak leading the Malaysian delegation and President Joko Widodo heading the Indonesian side.
As part of the talks, convened at a hotel in Sarawak’s capital, the two leaders held a restricted meeting which began at 10.35 am. They are scheduled to lead their sides at the delegation meeting after that.
Najib and Jokowi, as the Indonesian president is popularly known, are expected to issue a joint statement after the talks.
Several ministers are in the Malaysian delegation, among them Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed. – Bernama, November 22, 2017
