MALAYSIA Airlines Bhd has suspended taking delivery of Boeing 737-Max jetliners, which were due in 2020, in view of the production stoppage and the aircraft’s delayed return to service.

In a statement today, the national carrier said the safety of its operations and customers is its utmost priority and welcomed the moves by Boeing to improve procedures to ensure the safe operations of the aircraft.

“As there is no clarity yet from various authorities on its return to service, our technical due diligence is still ongoing,” it said. – Bernama, January 15, 2020.
