MOHAMED Azmin Ali today said he will not leave PKR, after president Anwar Ibrahim’s assurance that the party has no intention of sacking his deputy.

In a Twitter post, Azmin said despite what happened at the PKR congress this weekend, he still recognises Anwar as president.

“I need to negotiate (with) and talk to him. I will do that, and I will continue to do so.”

Earlier, Anwar said PKR has no intention of sacking Azmin as deputy president despite delegates’ call for just that during debates at the gathering.

He said no party leader has agreed with or responded to the call, adding that he is open to discussing with Azmin.

“There is no cause for it (Azmin’s sacking). It was voiced out by the delegates, but no leader responded or agreed to it.

“I have no problem discussing (issues), but the party has to stay strong and united.

“We won’t tolerate those who deviate from the party discipline,” he told reporters after the congress’ closing in Ayer Keroh, Malacca. – December 8, 2019.
