SAMIRAH Muzaffar and two juveniles claimed trial to murdering Cradle Fund CEO Nazrin Hassan at the Shah Alam High Court today.

Judge Ab Karim Ab Rahman set case management on April 11 and said a hearing will be fixed after that.

“We will wait for the lawyers to submit the documents and then we will fix a hearing date after that,” he said at the Shah Alam Court complex.

Samirah has been jointly charged with murder alongside the juveniles and their Indonesian maid, Eka Wahayu Lestari, who was charged in absentia.

Samirah, wearing a black dress and a grey headscarf, told the court that “I didn’t do it” when the charges were read out to her.

The two juveniles were calm and pleaded not guilty when the charges were read out to them.

DPP Zain Ibrahim said the court has registered 75 witnesses and will call more if the need arises.

“We strictly object to bail for all the three accused and we will protest if it is offered.”

Samirah’s lawyer, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, said he will file an application for her bail today.

“The juveniles’ lawyer Hisyam Teh Poh Teik filed bail for them yesterday. Chances are all the applications will be heard together.

“We are demanding bail because more than likely, there is no case against her or the two children.”

Shafee said bail hearing for all three could be heard next week.

Karim said that he will set an earlier date for the bail hearing before case management. – March 12, 2019.
