A WOMAN was killed and four others injured when a four-wheel-drive skidded and ploughed into the open-air section of a restaurant in Taman Equine yesterday.

In the 8.30pm incident, the driver of the Toyota Hilux is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, which swerved into the restaurant’s dining area, hitting five diners.

“The victims comprise a Vietnamese and four Malaysians.

“A medical officer confirmed that one woman was killed and four others injured,” Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Mohd Rizal Buang said.

Eight rescuers and firefighters from Serdang were rushed to the scene.

The injured were taken to Serdang Hospital. – November 19, 2018.
