IN this episode of FCKL, Saleem and Yusseri get caught up in the lives of Crazy Rich Asians.

Based on Kevin Kwan’s 2013 novel, the romantic comedy follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) who follows her boyfriend Nick Young (Henry Golding) back to Singapore where she finds out his family is one of the richest on the island. Once there, she is thrust into a world of ultra luxury and engages in a battle of wits with Nick’s mother, played by a very regal Michelle Yeoh.

The film is described as a triumph for Asian-Americans and a watershed moment for Hollywood, being the first film in 25 years to feature an all-Asian cast since the Joy Luck Club in 1993. A sequel, based on the book, China Rich Girlfriend, is in the works. - September 13, 2018.
