Creatures great and small measure up for London Zoo’s annual weigh-in
CREATURES great and small took part in London Zoo’s annual weigh-in on Thursday, August 23.
Footage shows animals from all around the world having their measurements taken, from the mighty tiger down to tiny meerkats. Even a snail - the Giant West African Snail, which typically grows up to 21cm (8 inches) in height – was seen being measured.
The Zoo regularly records the heights and weights of the more than 800 different species that call London Zoo home, as a way of monitoring its residents’ wellbeing. – Ruptly, August 24, 2018.
