Yoga with Kareena EP6: Let’s Twist
IT’S time to relax and loosen up that stiff body with some easy yoga twists. Kareena and her assistant, Jaime, go through three poses in this episode: a variation of the seated twist, half lord of the fishes and supine twist.
Twists help stretch your back muscles and invigorate internal organs. They create mild pressure by gently squeezing the body cavity, increasing blood flow to the organs upon release. It refreshes both the body and the mind.
Kareena and Jaime end the sequence with the corpse pose, which is a state of total relaxation which can improve physical and mental health. After a session of twisting, turning and stretching, it is important to let your body rest and your worries melt away. It can also serve as a starting point to meditation. - February 28, 2018.
