UNIVERSITI Teknologi Mara (UiTM) is contemplating two responses to a contract lecturer who berated a B40 student for not having a laptop during class.

In a statement today, UiTM said the deputy vice-chancellor of UiTM, Prof Mohd Sazili Shahibi has met with the parties involved in the incident, along with the other students present during that class.

Following the meetings, UiTM’s executive management body had the option of either terminating the lecturer’s contract or not taking any action at all as the lecturer has met with the said student and they have agreed to settle the matter amicably. – March 31, 2022.
