Cheah Liek Hou said he almost gave up on para-Badminton as the sport was not part of the Paralympics.

He already had several World Championship titles under his belt.

“Before this I couldn’t see a future in Para-Badminton because before this it was not in the Paralympics Games and the highest title in Para-Badminton is the World Championship and I took it six times,” he said.

He also took home the gold at the Asian Para Games three times and Asean Para games five times for the Singles category.
