[WATCH] Tuning up a German nuclear power plant into a Christmas market
A drive-in Christmas market in a former nuclear power plant has opened in Kalkar, western Germany. Guests can drive along at walking pace past a decorated and illuminated winter wonderland with 300 fir trees and artificial snow along a 2.5 kilometre stretch in the extensive grounds.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, most of Germany’s traditional Christmas markets have not been allowed to open and organisers had to innovate to be able to welcome the public under strict hygiene conditions. – December 16, 2020.
