SHAFEE Abdullah, Najib’s lead counsel accused Shahrol Halmi of making a deal to sing like a bird so he wouldn’t be charged for his role in 1MDB.

The lawyer told the court that Shahrol should have been one of the earlier persons to be charged in this case but he had instead made a deal with the prosecution to incriminate Najib.

Shahrol however remained composed and simply replied ‘no’ and ‘I disagree’ to the lawyers accusations. – July 1, 2020.
