THE Instant Café Theatre Company brings a reboot to the Jit Murad classic play “Gold Rain and Hailstones” – this time starring four actors instead of two, and directed by Gavin Yap.

Murad’s play which was first staged in 1993 explores themes of home and belonging. It centres arounds four friends who went abroad to study where they experienced the “hujan emas” or “gold rain” of another country. Now that they have returned Malaysia, we see how they each come to terms with the “hujan batu” or “hailstones” of home.

Featuring Ghafir Akbar, Sharifah Amani, Redza Minhat, Farah Rani, Gold Rain and Hailstones opens today (Mar 1) and will run until March 10. - March 1, 2019.
