MORE than RM3 billion in funding is available for qualified Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). Those facing trouble obtaining such loans should approach Bank Negara Malaysia, the Finance Minister said.

Lim Guan Eng said there was no reason for qualified SMEs and micro enterprises to not be able to get loans from the fund.

“BNM will assist them if they encounter problems. We will try to facilitate and ensure they can get financing,” said BNM assistant governor Abu Hassan Alshari Yahaya who was present with Lim at a press conference in Putrajaya today.

He said BNM will prepare a pamphlet to explain the procedures involved in getting these loans. Anyone seeking clarification can email him at  [email protected]. – September 25, 2018.
