Stop politicising education fund, says minister

THE Education Ministry today called on all, including the opposition, to stop linking the National Higher Education Fund with Pakatan Harapan’s manifesto for the 14th general election.

Minister Maszlee Malik said that borrowers were obliged to settle their repayments, no matter what their loans were.

“Whatever the manifesto says, the borrowers have to pay the loan.

“The opposition just wants to politicise the issue. This concerns one’s behaviour and morals; when you borrow money, you have to pay it back, even at RM10 a month,” he said after a visit to SK Siputeh in Kodiang, Kedah today.

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had complained three days ago of the untrustworthy attitude of PTPTN borrowers who did not repay their loans, and had amassed arrears in unpaid loans totalling RM36 billion.

According to Dr Mahathir, the loan defaulters included those who had already secured jobs.

PH, in its last general election manifesto, stated among other promises that it would defer repayment of PTPTN loans for borrowers earning RM4,000 a month and below.

On the progress of the repairs of dilapidated schools nationwide, especially in the rural areas, Maszlee said 10% of the affected schools would be ready by the end of the year. – Bernama, September 23, 2018.

Your little Napoleon seem to have their own rules on dress codes.... or are these the little Napoleon that are sabotaging the PHs administration, as claimed by the PM, Dr M?

    DEAR DR.MASZLEE MALIK,
    MINISTER OF EDUCATION

I'm here to attend a meeting with Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Selangor and have been kicked out due to my dress being knee length. I'm even using long sleeved sweater and not showing my body shape. I've used this dress many times for school meetings, MOE meetings, PPD meetings and more... I just can't believe this.

This is the most screwed up body policing I've experienced. I've been asked to drape myself in disgusting long skirts if I wish to enter, given dirty looks and treated like shit. And mind you my work is in support of JPN and PPD. I work damn hard everyday collectively and respectfully with all stakeholders to further our education landscape and what they give a damn about is my damn knees. I don't deserve anything less than basic respect for my mind and my choice of attire. Disgusting religious bigots.
The audacity!!!!! Malaysia, you still disappoint me everyday!!!! Angry & frustrated.
Photos are what I initially wore when they stopped me.

Let's hope this is the work of those little Napoleons n not the rulings of Malaysia Baru!
Pls viral this until it catches the attn of relevant authorities!

  • This is what happens when racists and the religiously gila have overrun and occupied the education system. The PH Government has to exorcise many of the demons sitting pretty in the ministry, the state education departments and district education offices. But does the government have the guts to become exterminators?
