PUTRAJAYA has denied allegations that it is spying on Johor Crown Prince (TMJ) Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and his father, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.

Deputy Home Minister Mohd Azis Jamman told Bahasa Malaysia daily Sinar Harian that the claims by Tunku Ismail were false.

He asked the crown prince to provide proof, if there was any.

“As far as I know, there has been no such instruction from the government leadership or any party, including the Pakatan Harapan leadership.

“If TMJ has any proof that such spying exists, I hope he will give the information to us and police.”

Azis, who is also Parti Warisan Sabah’s Sepanggar MP, said the government would look into Tunku Ismail’s claims of spying methods being used on Malaysians.

“The government denies it, and if there is truth that TMJ has information on it, we ask that he inform us.”

Tunku Ismail, in a Facebook post, said he had been informed by “officials” that his and his father’s social media pages were being monitored by certain parties using high-tech Israeli intelligence-gathering devices and cybertrooper moles planted on the JDT, Official Sultan Ibrahim and HRH Crown Prince of Johor pages.

He said the cybertroopers planted on his official social media pages were tasked with spying on him.

He said the new PH administration was repeating what was previously done by the Barisan Nasional government. – September 10, 2018.
