Wong Siew Ki triumphs in Balakong

THE Election Commission has declared Pakatan Harapan candidate Wong Siew Ki the official winner of the Balakong by-election.

Wong polled 22,508 votes to MCA candidate Tan Chee Teong’s  3,975, to secure a winning  majority of 18,533 votes.

There were 227 spoilt votes. Voter turnout was 43%.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, Seri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah and Bandar Utama assemblyman Jamaliah Jamaluddin were present to celebrate with Wong the win for her and PH. –  September 8, 2018.
