FIFTH term Barisan Nasional lawmaker Bung Moktar Radin might face a six-month suspension for his expletive outburst in the Dewan Rakyat on August 7.

Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin is expected to move a motion to refer the Kinabatangan MP to the Parliament’s Rights and Privileges Committee later today.

Bung, who said “F*** you” to Willie Mongin (PH-Puncak Borneo), during the debate on the Sales Tax Bill 2018 and Service Tax Bill 2018 last week, was warned by speaker Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof for his outburst.

Bung earlier said prices of goods were lower during the implementation of the goods and services tax based on his visit to the Selayang wholesale market.

But Mongin then interrupted, saying he might have gone to a casino instead.

“What is this? This is rude, retract this. You shouldn’t be here, samseng (thug), what do you want, you want to fight with me?

“F*** you. You messed up with the wrong people,” Bung shouted at Mongin in the chamber.

Several Pakatan Harapan lawmakers called for a retraction of the remark. Bung subsequently retracted his remarks.

However, Ariff said there would be no further actions against Bung. – August 16, 2018.

  • Have a demerit system in parliament. If any of those "Yang Berhormat"-- (an irony of the word to the behaviour of all the YBs) misbehave and when certain points are breached , please sack them off and have a by elections in their constituencies. DO IT PH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Don't just talk. !!!!!!!!!! Lets have some serious discipline with cultured and educated "YBs" in the house.
