FORMER prime minister Najib Razak is expected to face more charges in relation to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal tomorrow.
Sources said Najib, who was earlier charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust and one of abuse of power, will be slapped with charges under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
He has been ordered to turn up at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur, this evening for further questioning.
He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow for mention involving the earlier charges.
Last month, Najib pleaded not guilty and claimed trial to all four charges at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
The former prime minister was earlier charged at the sessions court with three counts of criminal breach of trust under the Penal Code, and one count of misusing his position, a charge under the MACC Act. β August 7, 2018.
