Bank freezes Najib's daughter, grandson's accounts

NOORYANA Najwa Najib, the daughter of former prime minister Najib Razak, today revealed that both her and her child’s bank accounts had been frozen yesterday.

Nooryana said on Facebook that her bank had informed her of this soon after she had posted bail for her father.

“My bank said it had instructions to freeze my personal account, which I use to pay for school fees, as well as my 10-month-old child’s bank account with RM100 in it (his first duit Raya this year),” she wrote.

Nooryana lambasted the Pakatan Harapan government, saying it was so vindictive that it was going after any member of the Razak clan it can, including an infant.

“What does my baby’s duit raya have to do with 1MDB? Is this the new Malaysia people were praying for?”

Yesterday Nooryana took to Instagram to seek sympathy for her father.

She described Najib as “kind, loving and gentle” person who always thinks of the “rakyat”.

She also told the people to think of him now when he needs the people the most.

However social media users had little sympathy for her and the situation her father is going through.

Najib was charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust and one count of using his position for gratification, under two separate acts, at the Sessions Court yesterday.

All charges carry a maximum jail term of 20 years and a fine.

He then pleaded not guilty to all four charges at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on the same day.

The high court set a bail of RM1 million and ordered Najib to surrender his diplomatic passports. – July 5, 2018.

  • Hell yeah! This is what we want, a government that leaves no stones unturn and will find criminals in the deepest wormhole..

FYI, this is what AMLA is all about. Ones a member of your close family is involved in money laundering or illegal money transfer, all the close links are also frozen too. You're not special, every high profile AMLA offender is treated like this.

  • Blame your father, not the lawful authorities, go to court to get the your account unfrozen if you can prove the monies in the your accounts a are not illegally obtained. Suggest you get the great Shafee your father's partner in crime to represent you in court.

  • No need for pleas. Your children are not starving. I would love to believe that your child only got RM 100 as duit Raya

  • Perhaps the cops were suspicious of the provenance of the bail? After all she doesn't seem to be gainfully employed anywhere.

  • The only appropriate question for you to answer, in view of kampung common sense from time immemorial is to declare how much of what's in your account is earned by you or husband from where.

And how much was from anyone else because you are psychopath (read your estranged sister's FB page) Najib or Rosmah's daughter.

Defend your reputation to your peers. The days of you being The First Lady's (ie Queen) daughter are over -- a lesson for bullying powerplaying ketuanan.

If latter, it is not yours. You are in possession of stolen money which is a crime. The rate you are going get ready -- you will be charged for it. Be real happy if you are not.

p.s is the money you are using to bail your father stolen money? It is, isn't it?

  • You won't be the 1st as it is their SOP. It is just that you are unaware of it. Instead of complaining on social media which frankly we don't care, why don't you appeal to the authorities so that your children can have their milk and I heard you have a very wealthy husband.

  • Yana, baby's account is joint account with you, yes? So frozen la. Don't use baby to seek sympathy.

    • Yes. You are the one managing the account on behalf of your child, so logically it should be frozen. Trying to lie your way out of this (runs in your family) won't work for those who are educated. Shameful!

    • You've got a lot of explaining to do especially how there is so much $ in your account, Yana. I hope you will stop pulling the wool over the eyes of the public and learn something new. It is called insaf!

That's why the step brother runs a movie company so well.

  • You feel so intensely cos it involves your family. Have you ever once speak up for the innocent your dad sacked, threatened and locked up? Marina Mahathir did and she went head on against her dad. You shouldn't be whining princess as this is nothing as compare what Anwar's young children had to go through. Suck it up and be there for your parents. And for God's sake, zip it, girl.

  • Pity you, Nooryana! You have been living so long in a dream. It is time for you and family to feel the real hardship of living just like many others during your father in power. When your father siphoned billion of taxpayers money you didnt say anything about it but when your babys rm100 being frozen, just RM100, and just frozen (not siphoned), you told the whole world that your family was treated unfairly. Did you know that farmers, fishermen, rubber tappers, laborers etc had to pay much more than RM100 of GST every month that your father had imposed and that money went into your papa and mama pocket to buy Bijan, Berkin, Rolex etc? Why you just kept silent at that time? Really pity on you!

  • Najib had no sympathy for the rakyat. I fail to dig out even a shred of sympathy for this cruel and greedy man who can spin a mighty tale with a smiling face.

  • What a contrast, Riza Aziz is probably sweating now whilst Mohd Nazifuddin Najibis having a good time with Celia Chang. Who cares about your chocolate or the RM100 being frozen. Amal Singh is doing his job. If it is not 1MDB money, it will be returned.
