Blame 'dictator' Kit Siang for DAP’s woes, says Najib’s press secretary

IN his third scathing attack on DAP, the prime minister’s press secretary Tengku Sariffuddin Tengku Ahmad said the party should blame its national adviser, Lim Kit Siang, for its troubles with the Registrar of Societies (RoS).

Calling Lim the party’s “half-century long dictator”, Sariffuddin said it was Lim who had endorsed the party’s problematic election results in 2012 and re-election in 2013.

The RoS then did not recognise the validity of the party’s Central Executive Committee following complaints lodged by DAP members over allegedly unfair election practices.

“The opposition’s real leader, DAP’s half-century long dictator Lim Kit Siang, is doing what dictators do – blaming others, creating hate and taking no responsibility for his misdeeds,” Sariffuddin said in a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Prime Minister’s Office.

“It was Lim who therefore allowed the victimisation of the 753 delegates who were not allowed to take part in the election – a serious violation of their democratic rights. It was he who allowed the mistreatment of many of the DAP’s 865 branches. So why is he now blaming Umno and the RoS for attempts to manipulate DAP’s elections that favoured his family?” Sariffuddin added.

His first attack on Lim five days ago was to tell the DAP leader to resolve DAP’s internal problems, including getting his son, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng to step down as Penang chief minister pending a corruption inquiry.

Yesterday, Sariffuddin went for DAP’s Liew Chin Tong for “peddling fake news” after the Kluang MP wrote an analysis that Prime Minister Najib Razak “might be one or two mess-ups away from an internal revolt”. – July 3, 2017.

  • It will be beneficial to all parties concerned if Tengku Sariffudin seek medical treatment for rabies because his recent statements show the workings of a demented mind and paranoia.
