SUNGAI Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos, who has been missing since May 25, said he will give himself up to police after he wins the Youth chief post.

The comments were made in a video clip, which went viral today. The recording is believed to be from last night, and directed at the media and Umno Youth delegates.

“I am healthy and still in the country. Don’t worry, after I win the post of Umno Youth chief, I will go to a police station the next day.

“I have not run away. They wanted to victimise me, so I fled.”

He also reminded Youth delegates to elect a “bold” leader.

Selangor police chief Mazlan Mansor told reporters today that police are looking for Jamal both in the country and abroad.

“Sooner or later, we will get him, wherever he is. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.”

Jamal is one of nine candidates vying for the post of Youth chief. The others include Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki and Khairul Azwan Harun.

Jamal was reported missing from an Ampang hospital last month. He faces a charge of causing a public nuisance by breaking beer bottles in front of the Selangor Secretariat in Shah Alam on October 5 last year. – Bernama, June 23, 2018.

  • What if you don't win? Run and hide forever? LOL. What if you win and is later convicted by the Court?

  • This fellow got a grand total of only two votes. Come to think of it, why did he even bother to contest.

  • Now that UMNO Youth delegates have elected a “bold” leader, we hope the bold leader will advise Jamban to surrender. His running away from the law is cowardice and making UMNO look really bad.
