Agong meets Rafizi, chief statistician

YANG di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar today met with Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli and chief statistician Mohd Uzir Mahidin at Istana Negara.

According to a post on the monarch’s official Facebook page, His Majesty was presented with the latest information on the implementation of the 2024 Agriculture Census by the Department of Statistics Malaysia.

On March 4, the department in a statement announced that it would be conducting a census to collect crucial data on the primary structure of Malaysia’s agricultural sector.

It said a total of 1.3 million agricultural entrepreneurs would be involved in the census, comprising two phases: the first to run from February 13 to March 31 and the second from July 7 to October 10. – July 2, 2024.
