FIVE of the eight fingerprints found at the site where Harimau Malaya and Selangor FC winger Faisal Abdul Halim was attacked with acid were partial, Bernama reports.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said the three fingerprints that could be processed did not match any in the police database, suggesting that the attacker did not have a police record.

“The police have distributed a photofit of the suspect. We urge anyone with information or who recognises the person to come forward to assist in the investigation,” he said yesterday.

On May 5, Faisal suffered fourth-degree burns after he was splashed with acid by an unknown assailant in a shopping mall in Petaling Jaya. The injuries have restricted his movements and speech. – May 22, 2024.
