TRAFFIC on several major highways was building and slow-moving in the evening as city dwellers went back to work after the long Christmas weekend.
At 5pm, a Malaysian Highway Authority spokesman said congestion was reported after the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza heading towards the Kuala Lumpur city centre.
“At the Jalan Duta Toll Plaza, traffic is slow northbound and in both directions at the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza due to a higher volume of vehicles,” he told Bernama.
PLUS’ X update said a stalled trailer on the North-South Expressway Central Link at Km31.4 northbound from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Putrajaya caused the left lane to be obstructed.
Traffic was also slow northbound from Pedas/Linggi to Port Dickson (North), as well as from Slim River to Sungkai.
Traffic on the East Coast Expressway was slow, with a 1km congestion before the Gombak Toll Plaza towards Kuala Lumpur. – Bernama, December 26, 2023.
