AIR Selangor has urged consumers in several areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Lumpur to prepare for prolonged water supply disruptions due to upgrading works starting Tuesday.

It said it will begin asset upgrading, maintenance, and replacement works at the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant at 9am with full services resumed on Thursday.

“This will cause scheduled water supply disruptions in the Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, and Hulu Langat regions.

“These works are expected to be completed by 7pm on Tuesday.

“Water supply will be distributed to consumers in stages after the upgrading, maintenance, and replacement works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised.

“It is expected to fully recover at noon on October 12,” Air Selangor said in a statement.

The duration of disruption and recovery in the affected areas would vary, it said.
