PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) is confident of winning five states in the upcoming state elections, opposition leader Hamzah Zainuddin said.

The PN secretary-general, said the coalition is confident of defending Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah, as well as taking over Selangor and Negri Sembilan.

“Our officials do analysis practically every day collecting feedback on the ground, and God willing, we can defend in Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah.

“With the rift in Selangor and Negri Sembilan, Insya-Allah PN can take over those states, with Penang soon.

“Therefore, let’s defend Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah, while we take over Selangor and Negri Sembilan in these elections. As for Penang, we will take it,” he was quoted as saying.

He said this while speaking at the Kelantan PN election event which was officiated by PAS president, Abdul Hadi Awang, last night.

Also present were Kelantan Menteri Besar, Ahmad Yakob and his deputy, Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah.

Hamzah is confident that PN will achieve a huge victory in the upcoming PRN with the help of its election machinery.

“We will ‘fight’ all the way, they’ll be afraid of our machinery. We will make sure our opponents get nothing (in Kelantan),” he said.

Hamzah who is also the Leader of the opposition described the government led by the Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, as a ‘flip flop’ government 

“He said he wants to form a unity government, Alhamdulillah, because he wants to unite the people. However, the statements issued are full of lies and the people don’t want to hear them.

“Today, the ringgit is falling because the government does not know how to determine the policies made to benefit the people and investors,” he said. –  June 25, 2023.
