THE number of flood evacuees in Batu Pahat dropped to 263 as at 8am compared with 343 recorded at 8pm yesterday. 

The Johor Disaster Management Committee in a statement today said 64 families are still sheltering at four relief centres. 

The four centres are SK Seri Medan (130 evacuees), Yong Peng Community Hall (79), Sekolah Agama Seri Comel (35), and SJKC Hua Min (19). 

“The constituencies in the district still affected by floods are Sri Medan, Yong Peng, Parit Yaani and Senggarang,” the statement said.

The committee said Sungai Bekok is still at a warning level of 18.96m, while weather throughout the state improved this morning. – Bernama, March 25, 2023.
