MALAYSIA reported 17 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, of which six were declared as “dead on arrival”.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, there have been 36,684 Covid-related deaths.
There have been 209 reported Covid-19 deaths in November, more than double the 101 seen the previous month.
The Health Ministry also reported 1,737 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases stand at 24,960, down 10.5% compared to 14 days ago.
The new cases were recorded in Selangor (367), Kuala Lumpur (193), Sarawak (166), Kedah (164), Malacca (134), Sabah (125), Kelantan (123), Perak (88), Penang (82), Pahang (80), Negri Sembilan (64), Terengganu (57), Johor (43), Labuan (24), Putrajaya (19) and Perlis (8).
A total of 1,848 Covid-19 patients are still hospitalised, of whom 94 are in intensive care units. – December 1, 2022.
