2,244 new Covid cases, 9 deaths

As of yesterday, Malaysia has 2,244 new Covid cases with Selangor logging the highest number of infections, at 679. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 4, 2022.

MALAYSIA logged 2,244 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths yesterday.  

The CovidNow website shows that of the nine fatalities, two were dead-on-arrival cases. 

Selangor logged the highest number of infections, at 679, followed by Kuala Lumpur (466) and Perak (224), Sabah (187), Negeri Sembilan (112), Malacca (95), Pahang (78), Penang (74), Sarawak (74), Kedah (61), Johor (60), Putrajaya (45), Kelantan (42), Terengganu (36), Perlis (6), and Labuan (5) 

The GitHub data base showed three deaths were reported in Johor, two in Sarawak and one each in Malacca, Pahang, Perak, and Selangor.  

There are currently 1,251 Covid-19 hospitalisations with 35 people in the intensive care unit, while 40 are on ventilators. – September 4, 2022.
