THE voting process for the 15th general election throughout the country went smoothly and under control today, although there was congestion at some polling stations, Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said.

He said no provocations were detected throughout the day.

“All voters cast their votes with prudence, calm and peace. This shows that our society is becoming mature when it comes to voting,” he told reporters at the Gombak police headquarters.

“I would like to thank all Malaysians who exercised their right and responsibility as citizens.”

Also present were Royal Malaysia Police Operations Director for the polls Hazani Ghazali, Gombak police chief Zainal Mohamed Mohamed and Selangor deputy police chief S. Sasikala Devi. – Bernama, November 19, 2022.
