MOH reports 1,483 new Covid cases

MALAYSIA has seen a fall in new Covid-19 infections recently, from 1,971 cases on Saturday to 1,483 yesterday. 

According to the CovidNow website, 4.8 million people have contracted Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.

Kuala Lumpur posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 328 cases, followed by Selangor (268), Perak (138), Sabah (127), Negri Sembilan (110), Johor (73), Sarawak (86), Malacca (67), Penang (63), Putrajaya (43), Kedah (54), Pahang (49), Terengganu (26), Kelantan (37), Perlis (12) and Labuan (2).

The Health Ministry also reported three Covid-19 deaths yesterday, one of which declared dead on arrival, meaning that 36,280 people have succumbed to the virus.

Two deaths were reported in Johor and one in Terengganu.

There were 68 people in intensive care units nationwide, of which 48 required respiratory support. – September 12, 2022.
