An attempt to put Malaysian govt on trial

THREE days ago, a sigh of relief as justice prevailed for all Malaysians.

The man dubbed by western media as a “plundering idiot” is finally in jail, as the apex court upholds the verdicts.

My wife asked me if it was over. Are we on the road of recovery?

Well, yes and no, I said. What is remarkable, the chain of events leading to the final decision, was a few leaked internal documents that were made available to blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin, who lives in the United Kingdom.

So how come he got access to these documents? Who is the wolf in sheep’s clothing that breathes the same air as the judges as they draft these documents?

This is a clear breach in confidentiality among the staff and an attack of the judiciary.

I found out that draft judgment is a normal process and practice by the judiciary.

These discussions are not limited only to judges, thus extended members of the prosecution and defence, involving closed-door meetings.

All parties have time to read and re-examine the crucial evidence that is relevant to the case, before the judges retire to gather their thoughts.

So what is the purpose for these leaked documents made available to the self-imposed fugitive who resides in London? Is he seeking a mistrial?

I would think the Najib Razak’s public relations team was building up the case.

The Najib PR team was putting the Malaysian government on trial in the court of public opinion. – August 26, 2022.
