More than 6,000 children fully vaccinated

A TOTAL of 6,129 children ages 5-11 have completed both initial Covid-19 vaccine doses as part of the national Covid-19 immunisation programme for children. as of yesterday.

Based on the CovidNow website, 1.35 million children (38%) in Malaysia have received the first dose of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, 15.8 million (67.3%) of the adult population have received the booster dose, 23 million (97.6%) have been fully vaccinated and 23.2 million (98.8%) have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

For adolescents ages 12 to 17, 2.85 million (91.7%) have completed the vaccination, while 2.95 million (94.8%) have received at least one dose.

Yesterday, nearly 26,000 doses were dispensed, 8,752 first doses, 5,292 second doses and 11,658 booster doses, bringing the cumulative total to just shy of 69 million. – Bernama, April 3, 2022.
