YANG di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah is currently warded at the National Heart Institute (IJN), announced Istana Negara today.

This comes after a health check-up, which is a follow-up to an intervention for knee joint and ankle issues that the king underwent at IJN in September.

Comptroller of the Royal Household Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin in a statement said: “His Highness underwent the intervention following MRI imaging, which showed injuries to the knee joint and ankle sustained from a sport injury.”

“At the same time, His Highness is also undergoing a respiratory health check at IJN. He is in overall good health and there is no cause for worry.”

He said the king will be discharged soon and recuperate at the palace. – January 23, 2022.
