97.8% of adults fully vaccinated

A TOTAL of 22.8 million (97.8%) adults have completed their coronavirus vaccination in the country as of yesterday – just 2.2% shy of achieving a 100% rate.

Based on the Health Ministry’s CovidNow site, 23.1 million (99%) adults have received at least one vaccine dose.

For adolescents aged between 12 and 17, 2.76 million (87.9%) have completed their vaccination, while 2.85 million (90.8%) have received at least one vaccine dose.

A total of 223,463 vaccine doses were dispensed yesterday, of which 3,273 were first doses, 2,114 were second doses and 218,076 were boosters.

Overall, 59.5 million vaccine doses, including 8.03 million boosters, have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme as of yesterday. – Bernama, January 11, 2022.
