A TOTAL of 22.9 million people or 97.7% of the adult population have completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday.

Based on the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal, 23.2 million people or 98.9% of the group have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, 87.6% or 2.76 million adolescents ages 12 to 17 years old have completed the vaccination, while 2.85 million youths or 90.5% in this age bracket have been given at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 40,729 doses were dispensed yesterday, with 512 first doses, 754 as second dose and 39,463 booster doses.

More than 57.7 million doses have now been administered under the national Covid-19 immunisation programme. – Bernama, January 2, 2022.
