ENVIRONMENT and Water Minister Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has tested positive for Covid 19, along with several members of his family.

The PAS deputy president announced his status in a Facebook post today.

“Pray for us. Four of my children, a grandchild and myself have been confirmed positive for Covid-19.

“We have been in quarantine for the last few days.

“A grandchild was safely delivered yesterday and was confirmed negative, but the mother is still being kept at Sungai Buloh Hospital,” he said in the post, which was accompanied by a picture of his family members wearing the pink quarantine tags.

Tuan Ibrahim was last reported to be in the country on December 18, the day of the devastating flood that hit huge swathes of the peninsula.

His ensuing silence raised questions in social media about his competency in his role as environment minister.

The PAS organ Harakahdaily later reported that the Kubang Kerian MP was in Saudi Arabia to perform the ummrah. – December 26, 2021.

  • Starting next year, all ministers, sec General, top government officers MUST BE in Malaysia every December. They can take their holidays or umrah or shopping trip any time in the remaining of 11 months of the year.

    Make that a compulsory requirement. If they not willing to do this, then don't take these position.

    There are more Malaysians that willing to serve the ordinary rakyat and could have served better.
