PUTRAJAYA will provide a two-month rental waiver for flood-affected tenants of SME Bank’s Entrepreneur Premises Complex, said Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The prime minister in a statement this evening said the federal government via the bank will also facilitate loan restructuring applications for flood victims.
“The government has allocated RM30 million for a flood rehabilitation loan through Tekun Nasional.
“The Cooperative Commission of Malaysia’s emergency assistance programme will also assist affected businesses of up to RM30,000.”
Ismail had yesterday said the government will allocate RM100 million for post-flood repairs for homes and infrastructure affected by the disaster nationwide.
He said heads of affected households will each receive an RM1,000 aid, adding that the money will be disbursed post-floods and once displaced victims have returned to their homes. – December 20, 2021.
