Tony Pua is right – don’t let the demons from Umno loose

I AGREE 100% with the recent statement by DAP’s Tony Pua about the likely evil if Umno were to come back into power.

While everyone continuously harped about Muhyiddin Yassin, I wonder, did anyone ever stop to think, who would take over?

Even the deaf, dumb and blind realise the drama and fuss Najib Razak and Ahmad Zahid Hamidi are kicking up is merely to save themselves from spending time behind bars.

These two have stolen millions from us, the rakyat during their tenure and will now do anything possible to try and avail themselves.

Pua hit the right note when he pointed this out. Just look at the options available.

Does anyone out there seriously want Dr Mahathir Mohamad or Anwar Ibrahim as prime minister?

God knows how much more damage these two would cause the rakyat.

Has Pakatan Harapan so quickly forgotten the backstabbing from Dr Mahathir after they won the 2018 general election?

Take a look around. Which other nation, apart from Taiwan, has Covid-19 under control?

Every medical expert agrees that the best way to combat the spread of the virus is through mass vaccination, and this is something Malaysia is fast achieving.

It is not to say the rakyat have actually played their roles that well either. Just look at all the celebration exodus and the number of illegal parties – even at police stations!

Let Muhyiddin fulfil his term and then let the majority of the rakyat decide. Do not open hell’s gates and let the demons from Umno loose!

They have left nothing spared – Felda, Tabung Haji, 1MDB and the list goes on – they are merciless and this is something we don’t want.

Even Muhyiddin was power crazy and greedy himself. He could have struck a deal with Najib back then and enjoyed a huge chunk of the 1MDB cake – but instead he opted to do the right thing and was removed from Umno.

Even this time, he can swing to their tune and get Najib and Zahid off the hook and enjoy their support in Parliament, which again he did not do.

So people, stop shooting yourselves in the foot and wait for the general election. – August 5, 2021.

  • At last a sensible take on this whole fiasco. The way that PH leaders have been going on and on condemning PN day in and day out is disgraceful. If Muhyiddin is ousted will the country magically become a better place? Don't allow your dislike of him or the PN blind you from the wolves waiting at the sideline to voraciously devour what little wealth is left.

    • I'd like to think in PH its all bark, with no intention of biting.

Any intelligent PH MPs would know that with GE15 round the corner, its more profitable to hunker down to prepare and strategize for the coming elections rather than take power and fight "unwinnable" Covi-19 and its economic fallout. Its disastrous for PH, IMO.

The real intention, maybe, PH's "batu api" is to weaken PN considerably. No further action is contemplated, hopefully.

  • Ask Muhyiddin to return to PH. After all the GE14 mandate was given to PH and not PN. Yet Muhyiddin betrayed PH for his own personal gain. So why should PH support Muhyiddin now?

  • The ongoing tussle opened Malaysians' eyes that our laws allowed anyone in power (to abuse the public institutions and) to get away with all sorts of crimes.

When did it all started? From the 1990's?
