AT least 12 individuals who participated in yesterday’s Konvoi #lawan protest have been called up by the police for questioning.

Sekretariat Solidariti Rakyat (SSR), which was behind the protest, told The Malaysian Insight that five people are currently at the Brickfields district police station.

“Five of us are now at the Brickfields police station to have our statement recorded regarding the protest yesterday.”

“Apart from us, some were also called up in Kajang and Malacca,” said SSR spokesperson Mohd Asraf Sharafi Mohd Azhar.

Asraf is one of the five people called up by the cops in Brickfields.

Police yesterday had brought the Konvoi #lawan protest to a stop in several areas and arrested three individuals.

SSR claimed police had harassed and intimidated the participants and stopped them from continuing with the protest, which was supposed to have been held from 11am to 5pm. – July 25, 2021.
