A MALAYSIAN student at Changhua county’s Da-Yeh University was found dead last night outside the men’s dorm building dressed in a Spider-Man costume, reported Taiwan’s Central News Agency.

It said he was believed to have fallen from the fifth floor of the building.

Police said a student passing by the building found the Malaysian, surnamed Lee, lying unconscious on the cement floor, and notified the university and police.

Police said Lee was already dead when officers arrived at the scene.

They suspect that Lee had been on the balcony, taking selfies, when he fell to his death.

Police found Lee’s cellphone on the fifth-floor balcony, and one of his classmates questioned by officers said the victim had earlier said he was going to take photos.

Chan Ting-yu, head of the investigation unit in county police’s Yuanlin precinct, said police were not yet able to definitively determine the cause of death as there were no witnesses.
