AN Indonesian maid was reported missing, along with RM31,000 in local and foreign currencies belonging to her employer, in Precinct 14, Putrajaya, two days ago.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hassan said the 64-year-old employer found the maid, Dasirah, missing after waking up from a nap at 4pm.
He said the employer believed that Dasirah had left the house after finding some of her clothes missing.
“The employer then went to her son’s room and found that US$7,000 (RM28,550), which was kept there, missing.
“Also missing was RM3,000 that the woman had left in a dressing table drawer in her daughter’s room,” he said today.
Rosly said police had obtained information on the maid, as well as her passport, which was being kept by an agent to facilitate permit renewal.
He said police were tracking down the maid. – Bernama, December 23, 2017.
