Muhyiddin calls off meeting with MBs, CMs


Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has cancelled a meeting with all state menteris besar and chief ministers scheduled for tomorrow morning. PRIME Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has cancelled a meeting with all state menteris besar and chief ministers which was scheduled for tomorrow morning.

The Menteris Besar and chief ministers have been receiving messages to this effect over the last hour.

An official with the Selangor Menteri Besar’s office said the meeting was called off by the prime minister’s office.

The Malaysian Insight learnt earlier today a message calling for all menteris besar and chief ministers to attend the meeting was sent after the Malay rulers finished their special meeting this afternoon, which was called after Muhyiddin met with the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on Friday. 

The meeting agenda was not disclosed, a source told The Malaysian Insight.

Officials from the Penang Chief Minister’s office and Selangor Menteri Besar’s office also confirmed that their bosses had been summoned for a meeting tomorrow.

The Malaysian Insight was made to understand that the meeting was to be at 9am. – October 25, 2020.
