Police leads involve 2 women in mural defacing case


POLICE have several leads involving two women in its case of a defaced a mural featuring national leaders at Taman Cahaya Alam, Section U12 in Shah Alam, which were vandalised with paint and offensive words last Monday.

Selangor deputy police chief Arjunaidi Mohamed said police were confident of solving the case soon.

“At the moment, we can’t say that we have identified the suspects as our probe is ongoing.

“We have a few targets and are still following up, but we have some leads in the vandalism case. Police will continue the investigation (based on the leads).”

He said this to reporters after attending an Action Committee Coordination Meeting with government departments and agencies for an integrated initiative to address drug abuse in Selangor.

The defacing of the large mural was noticed by a restaurant worker who passed by the area about 8am last Monday.

Offensive words were also written in red paint on the portraits of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.

Police are in the midst of identifying two individuals, believed to be women, over the act, which was caught on a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera recording from a nearby shop. – Bernama, July 22, 2020.

  • Could it be the two women caught cavorting on film in a hotel in Sandakan?
    Oh sorry, that was just Arsemin and his/her companion (whom the PDRM are still unable to identify despite the bright lights and clarity of the video).
    The PDRM are expert at identifying people aren't they?
